Washington Golf and Country Club is a private club and requires a member of the club to sponsor a non member event.

Presidents Hall

The largest space on the main floor is Presidents Hall. This classically proportioned ballroom is appointed with elegantly detailed painted millwork, carpeted floors, handsome window treatments, along with crystal chandeliers and sconces, and the 40’ ceiling features colonial lattice work. A commemorative plaque on the wall just outside the Hall, honors Presidents of the United States who have been members of WGCC.

Capacity

Seated meal: to 150 guests.

Buffet: to 150; 125 with use of dance floor. Add 25 guests per category, without dance floor.

Receptions: to 300 guests, or 750 when used in conjunction with connecting areas.

The Virginia Room

The Virginia Room is a dining room opening on to the covered Upper Terrace with wonderful view of the golf course. It is appointed with regency chandeliers, sconces, fireplace, intricate millwork, carved pilasters, and coffered ceiling. These features add sophistication to the room, making it a lovely room for wedding receptions and cocktail parties, in conjunction with Presidents Hall, or in any number of different ways.

Seated meal: to 60 guests

Buffet: to 40 guests

Receptions: to 80 guests

The Dominion Room

Opening directly off Presidents Hall and the Dining Room, this room overlooks The Conservatory and the golf course. It is appointed with painted panel mill work, mahogany furniture, crystal chandeliers and sconces and custom classic motif woven carpet.

Buffet: to 60 guests

Receptions: to 150 guests

The Upper Terrace

Covered outdoor terrace overlooks golf course and pool for receptions, buffets, or seated meals. It may be combined with the Virginia Room. The Upper Terrace leads to one of the building’s more impressive new additions -- a Conservatory running the length of the building.

The Woodrow Wilson Room

The Woodrow Wilson Room showcases one of the club’s proudest possessions: a restored and reframed golf print that was donated by President Wilson, the 28th President of the United States, a member and frequent golfer during his term of office. The quietly elegant room features leather chairs, a large Mahogany table, a fireplace, antique brass chandeliers and sconces. An oil portrait of President Wilson, on permanent loan from the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library in Staunton, Virginia, hangs in the room. Four windows in the room offer a fine view of the first tee, and coincidentally, the National Cathedral where the former President is buried.
